The School for Advanced Segmental Paving was the brain child of Steve Jones. As a former interlocking paver contractor and having given many demonstrations regarding PAVE TECH products (the tools, accessories, and chemicals used by the industry), he knew there was a need for a school for people to come and learn the best practices of installing segmental pavements. He planned an indoor arena for year round training. The curriculum for the first two classes, “Foremen Team Teaching” and “Foundation Skills for Paver Construction” was developed by a group of contractors (the founding fathers) and Steve. Since our first classes were held in December of 2005, four additional courses have been added. “Hardscape Chemical Certification”, Permeable Paver Systems”, “Permeable Paver Systems Installation” and Steps, Landings & Elevations". Each course includes classroom time, covering theory and arena hands-on training.
